Various Tracks Recorded 1993-1998

Between 1993 and 1998, the Caucasian Boys began to gather less frequently.

The X album, pronounced "ten" (as in the number of years the band had been recording), is not a true album. It serves as a collection of tracks from several sessions ranging over the five year period.

"Sweet Emotion" was one of the few songs recorded during this period that actually uses technology. The song was four-tracked. Other songs on tracks 6-11 were recorded live to tape, with no overdubs.

At the end of 1994, three of the Caucasian Boys gathered at Matt Pool's house, and while sitting in front of a fire, wrote two classic Caucasian Boys songs. "A Midwinter Night's Ode," and "75 Cent Pitchers." These songs were originally recorded by Uncle Nub, a splinter group of the Caucasian Boys.

In September of 1998, Carthage High School's class of 1988 held their ten year reunion. The Caucasian Boys took the opportunity to get together and record again for the first time in several years. The results appear here as the "Smacks Of Ass" sessions, since no one was really pleased with the results. It was enough to whet the band's appetite though, and served as a test run for their TWILGM album. Tracks 14-19 were recorded at these sessions.

As a side note, the band recorded the "Smacks of Ass" tracks in Pool's rent house at 300 Bounds, which Kerr and his family would move into within the next three years.
